Results Week Ending 6 November 2016
Published on 22nd August 2017 in ResultsThanks to the generous sponsorship of Matt Hickey and the helloworld Katoomba team, a large field of 160 from far and wide turned out to compete in the Helloworld WFCC Open & Shield on Saturday. Thanks also to Dave Mellor of d’Vine Cellars for donating lots of grape juice for prizes.
Despite the very windy weather there were some fabulous scores, with our sponsor Matt Hickey shooting 71 to take out the major prize – which he instantly donated to the card draw at the end of proceedings. John Bromhead from Blackheath took out the major handicap prize with 67 OCB.
A great day was had by all and it was fabulous to see a crowd at presentation and to witness the card draw, which happened to be won by Tom Daniels – our hard working junior promotions officer. It was also great to see a huge turn out of WFCC pennant players competing in the Open – at last count there were 45 proud WFCC members wearing their pennant shirts. Thanks Matt and Dave for your fantastic support of our great club and to all the members and visitors for competing and making it such a great day.
